OCA announces added incentive for Ranji players

Orissa Cricket Association has decided to introduce its own gradation system, which promises added incentive to the Ranji Trophy players state for the season 2011-12. ``The cash incentive should encourage our players perform better in multi-day matches,`` said OCA secretary Asirbad Behera today.

According to the system, players will get the incentive under grade A, B and C in accordance with their batting, bowling and all-round performance. Grade-A performance will make a player richer by Rs 3 lakhs, Grade-B Rs 2 lakhs and Grade-C Rs 1 lakh.

GRADING CRITERIA:

Batsmen: Grade-A:
500 or more runs, Grade-B: 400 or more runs: Grade-C: 300 or more runs.

Bowlers: Grade-A: 30 or more wickets, Grade-B: 25 or more wickets, Grade-C: 20 or more wickets.

All-rounders: Grade-A:
Minimum 250 runs and 15 wickets, Grade-B: Minimum 200 runs and 12 wickets.
